Happy New Year, everybody!

We hope you all had some down time over the holidays – time with family and a little time for reflection and rest as well.

School doesn’t start for students until Tuesday, but it’s a good day to sharpen pencils and file papers to get ready for the year to come. Teachers are back at work today. We thank them for their dedication, skill and love for the boys and girls of Williamson County Schools.

Dr. Looney said he will propose a 5% raise for teachers. Board member Dr. Beth Burgos emphasized the need for a real raise for teachers as well. Take a look at how WCS teacher salaries compare to those in FSSD and Metro Nashville. (Click the graph to enlarge.)
